Allowed recipients

Kimori alerts can only warn two categories of people: members of your organisation, and external addresses entered in this list. Any other address is refused.

It is an allow-list: whatever is not on it receives nothing.

Previously, any user could type whatever address they liked into an alert. That sounds convenient, but it means a deadline — its title, the name of the register carrying it, its date — could go to any mailbox at all, including through a simple typo.

By centralising allowed addresses, you decide once and for all who, outside the company, may receive information about your deadlines.

  1. Open Settings from your account menu.
  2. Go to the Allowed recipients section.
  3. Enter the email address, then a name — optional, but recommended.
  4. Click Add.

The name is what appears when picking the recipients of an alert: “Durand & Co” is spotted far quicker than contact@durand-co.com in the middle of a list.

Members of your organisation are already offered as recipients, without going through this list. Kimori in fact refuses to add a member’s address to it: that would be a duplicate, and the entry would not follow their address changes.

So this list is only for people outside: client, accountant, broker, subcontractor, employee without an Kimori account.

The delete button at the end of the row takes the address off the list.

The check happens at every sending, not only when the alert is set. That is what makes removal immediate and free of blind spots.

Addresses carried over from your older alerts

Section titled “Addresses carried over from your older alerts”

If your organisation was already using external addresses in its alerts before this list existed, they were entered automatically, under the name “Reprise — alerte existante”. Your running reminders therefore carried on without interruption.

You can keep them as they are, or sort them out: remove those no longer in use, and enter the others again under a more meaningful name.
