Folders

A folder groups registers under a single identity. It serves two purposes, and you choose which one: tracking several companies without mixing them up, or filing your registers by topic.

  • A freelance administrator creates one folder per client company: “Dupont Ltd”, “Martin Contractors”. Each holds that company’s registers.
  • A manager creates a “Vehicles” folder and a “North Building” folder. Each holds whatever relates to it, whatever the register type.

Kimori does not decide for you: a folder is a container, and you give it the meaning that is yours.

A register belongs to one folder, or to none at all. Registers you don’t file remain perfectly usable: they appear on the Folders page under “No folder”.

Nothing forces you to create folders. As long as you have none, Kimori behaves exactly as before.

The Folders menu lists all your folders, each with its number of registers and its compliance status. You can see at a glance which one needs your attention today.

Click a folder to open it: you land on its page, which lists its registers. The breadcrumb at the top always tells you where you are.

You can also filter by folder without leaving your lists: the Registers and Deadlines screens have a Folder filter next to their other filters, with a “No folder” entry to find whatever isn’t filed anywhere. The dashboard always stays complete.

Finally, the search box at the top of the screen knows your folders: type “Dupont” and you’ll find its registers and deadlines, from any screen.

Archiving a folder removes it from the folder list and from the “Folder” field in forms. Its registers are not deleted: they simply become “no folder” again. Kimori tells you how many they are before asking you to confirm.
